Improving Patient Care with AI-Driven Physician Workflows

As healthcare organizations continue to drive EHR adoption, they are finding that the physician struggle to get patient information into EHR templates negatively impacts both the quality of clinical care and documentation. EHR templates are cumbersome and do not allow clinicians the flexibility needed to efficiently capture the complete patient narrative. But most of all, physicians spend nearly 50% of their time* on administrative tasks, which they would much rather spend delivering care to their patients. Technology is mitigating these concerns by providing more natural and effective ways for clinicians to document while still capturing the highest quality documentation to meet organizational goals related to ICD-10, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), quality initiatives, etc. Such physician-assistive technologies are often cloud-based, and facilities must ensure that technology services are secured at the highest level and redundancy layers are in place as these services become an integral part of their workflows. Learn how artificial intelligence (AI) powered solutions using advanced speech recognition and natural language understanding technologies can help clinicians get all the benefits of meaningful technology without encumbering their primary mission of providing high-quality care.

Learning Objectives
1. Learn how the quality of documentation can be negatively impacted in an EHR templating environment.
2. Hear how speech recognition can help the provider document more easily, accurately and completely in the EHR, thereby creating time to care.
3. Understand how AI-driven solutions like Computer-Assisted Physician Documentation (CAPD) can provide the right clinical insights and education to clinicians to drive better clinical and financial outcomes.
4. Learn how facilities are monitoring the quality of documentation using auditing tools to help mentor clinicians.
5. Understand why the security and redundancy plans for cloud-based technology services are critical to establishing sustainable workflows.
